The Association for the Management of Textile Waste, a non-profit organization, was formally established with Inditex, Decathlon, H&M, Ikea, Kiabi, Mango and Tendam as founding members.

For the design of the PRO, Pronet ISE together with Andersen (legal consultant) and Enclave Ambiental (technical consultant) have been the companies chosen for the design of the PRO.

PRONET employs all its technology and expertise to design a country platform ready to manage, end-to-end, the collection, sorting, preparation for reuse and recycling of the textile stream.

Scope and challenges

  • Integration with existing operational flows and your current platforms.
  • Evolution towards the sector’s future objectives (textile EPR, eco-modulation, preparation for reuse and recycling objectives).
  • New collection channels (municipal points, retail, e-commerce, smart containers, reverse logistics) with various automation technologies (IoT, tags, field apps, portals).
  • Large-scale scalability and interoperability with all stakeholders: public administrations, PROS/eco-agencies, logistics operators, plants, distributors and brands.

What did PRONET do?

  • Definition of modular architecture.
  • Unified data model for 360º traceability.
  • Country-level scorecards (operational, environmental and economic KPIs).
  • Data governance: digital evidence, documentary control and auditing.
  • Operational automation: pick-up coordination, intelligent route planning, weighing, sorting, settlement and multilevel reporting.

Impact

  • Country capacity to coordinate and control the textile flow with verifiable traceability.
  • Guaranteed interoperability with existing and future systems of all stakeholders.
  • Technological base to scale the model and lead textile management in Spain, with minimum operational impact and maximum compliance control.
