OPTIWASTE
Artificial Intelligence to transform waste logistics
An intelligent predictive engine that optimizes waste collection and treatment within the framework of the circular economy and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
Innovating in the circular economy: a logistical and technological challenge
The transformation to a circular economy requires solutions that reduce waste, improve traceability and increase efficiency in the collection and recycling processes. In this context, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) imposes new challenges on companies and managers: optimizing resources, minimizing emissions and achieving a real environmental and economic impact.
What is OPTIWASTE
A technological solution for more efficient waste logistics
OPTIWASTE is an innovation project aimed at revolutionizing waste management through the use of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, machine learning and deep learning. Its objective is to optimize the logistics of collection and treatment of waste, especially waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), by anticipating demand and improving operational efficiency.
This intelligent engine analyzes large volumes of historical and contextual data (locations, waste types, seasonality, etc.) to generate accurate and adaptive predictions, reducing unnecessary travel and maximizing efficiency in the recycling value chain.
Measurable results: sustainability and efficiency
- Lower carbon footprint: reduction of CO₂ per kilogram of waste transported.
- Reduction of logistics costs by optimizing routes and loads.
- Facilitation of recycling: support for the design of products that are more easily disassembled and recyclable.
- Improved circularity by increasing the volume of materials reintroduced into production processes.
Award for innovation and strategic collaboration
OPTIWASTE has been awarded a runner-up prize in the Third Millennium Awards, promoted by Heraldo de Aragón, in recognition of its innovative approach to sustainable logistics and its contribution to the circular economy.
- ALIA – Logistics Cluster of Aragon
- Zaragoza Logistics Center
- Tecnara
- Pronet Group
- Predictland
